【Cut the nodule through the keyhole! Minimally invasive surgery for lung nodules: 3 small holes to remove early cancer, discharged in three days】Pulmonary nodules found in physical examination? 90% do not need to be removed, but this type of people must undergo surgery!
Who is minimally invasive surgery suitable for?
✅ Nodules >8mm and burrs on the edge (high risk of malignancy)
✅ Continued enlargement during follow-up (increase ≥2mm in 3 months)
✅ Pathologically confirmed carcinoma in situ/microinvasive carcinoma (cure rate >95%)
✅ Poor cardiopulmonary function, afraid of thoracotomy
Surgery is done in three steps
1️⃣ General anesthesia puncture: 1-3 0.5cm small holes are made on the chest side
2️⃣ Accurate resection: thoracoscopic exploration, cutting nodules and sending to pathology (completed in 30 minutes)
3️⃣ Rapid recovery: drink water 6 hours after surgery, discharged on the 3rd day
✔️ Compared with traditional thoracotomy
▪️ Wounds: 3 keyholes vs 20cm incision + broken ribs
▪️ Pain: mild vs severe pain requiring analgesic pump
▪️ Recurrence rate: <5% vs the same
These symptoms alert to cancer
⚠️ Nodule lobulation, burrs, pleural traction
⚠️ Long-term smoking + nodules > 1cm
⚠️ Tumor marker (CEA) continues to rise
Two things must be done after surgery
1️⃣ Annual low-dose CT review (to prevent new nodules)
2️⃣ Quit smoking! Quitting smoking for 1 year reduces the risk of lung cancer by 50%
Lung nodules ≠ lung cancer, but delaying can be fatal! If you have cancer treatment consultation
